Missouri’s “trigger” abortion law is one of the most draconian and punitive in the country. In addition to a total ban on elective abortion, it includes no exceptions for rape or incest, no carve outs for fatal fetal abnormalities and felony charges for anyone — including a pregnant woman — who induces an abortion.
